Night at the Museum:Battle of the Smithsonian
Greetings and saluatations! So-I saw Night at the Museum:Battle of the Smithsonian this past weekend. It picks up a couple of years later and we see that Larry Dailey has become a successful inventor. His glow in the dark flashlight (which actually isn't a bad idea!) has just been launched and he is poised on the brink of making Oxyclean guy look like a pauper. And he doesn't yell half as much! He visits his museum and notices that all his buddies are being boxed up to be shipped off to the Federal Archives in Washington, D.C. to make room for more modern and interactive exhibits. He decides that he must act in order to save his friends. Thus, the adventure begins. The sequel brings back all of our favorites from the first installment. We have our mummy, Teddy, Sacajawea and Atilla and his Huns. In the sequel, we get introduced to some new people. Teddy shows up again in Washington but not on his horse and he's got attitude about it! Amelia Earhart lends Larry her support along with Gen. George Custer. They must all keep the tablet that brings them to life safe from the newly formed "Axis of Evil" led by the always hysterical Hank Azaria. There are many cameos throughout the film that are funny (watch out for the Jonas Brothers). I enjoyed this movie very much and will probably buy it when it comes out on DVD. I do recommend that you go and watch this movie but watch it at a matinee or when it makes it to the $1.00 movies. It is a very sweet and light-hearted film, but save the full price tickets for something more intense.
